Inground Concrete Pool Construction Builder

Typically, inground swimming pools in Raleigh, NC and surrounding areas are of 3 types:

  • Vinyl
  • Fiberglass
  • Concrete
    • commonly known as gunite or shotcrete

Vinyl and fiberglass pools are commonly referred to as "pools in a box" because they come in prefabricated sizes and shapes with tile and interior finish patterns printed on them. Due to recent changes in the formulation of the polymers used to create vinyl liners, they typically last six to eight years and then need to be replaced at an average cost of $4000.00. Termites, fire ants, moles, objects thrown into the pool or a pet jumping into the pool will also damage the liner. Fiberglass pools are built with layers of fiberglass cloth and resin. These layers tend to separate (delaminate) resulting in expensive repairs or replacement of the pool shell. With all of the emphasis on building Green today, imagine the impact of those non-biodegradables like vinyl and fiberglass going into a landfill. Not very green.

You can purchase a "pool in a box"…OR…you can purchase a custom, durable pool, designed with attention to detail such as the topography of your yard, how you will use the pool, landscaping and lighting choices, water features…and a whole host of other elements that are considered in a custom aqua-scape design.

The shape and size of your AquaTerra pool is only limited by imagination, creativity and the size of your property. We challenge our customers to begin the design process by doing the following:

  1. Get a cold beverage of your choice and go into the backyard.
  2. Connect the two ends of your 75 foot or 100 foot garden hose together. This hose will now represent your swimming pool.
  3. Take that garden hose, lay it out in your backyard where you'd like your pool to be.
  4. Change the shape and the location of the hose until you you're satisfied.
  5. Call us and we'll build it!

An AquaTerra pool is handcrafted using materials like steel, concrete, ceramic tile, brick and stone.

No cheesy printed tiles or pebbles, no layers of anything to come unwrapped and we challenge any pest to try and make a meal out our pool!

Your AquaTerra pool is built with pneumatically placed concrete, usually referred to as gunite or shotcrete. We trim it with tile, brick or stone, finish the interior with a durable pebble finish, install state-of-the-art equipment to keep your water sparkling clean and teach you how to use and take care of it. Need swimming lessons for the kids? We'll take care of that too! Have you ever seen a vinyl or fiberglass pool at a world class resort or hotel you've visited? Have you ever seen a bridge built out vinyl or fiberglass? Of course not. They use concrete…and so should you.
